you guys, excited about stephs bday dinner as you all may be, how is there going to be a surprise for her if theres nowhere to eat??
since FV mummy says D Fortune is not good, so how now? and who's house are we going to have the after-dinner surprise thing? sam will your place be okay? since the puppy is at your house, will be easier also. actually if we're just eating in taipan, id rather we go to pizza vs satay. has good ambience, good food also. i can go to taipan later to check out the prices at D Fortune then we make comparisonla. but is there nowhere else to eat?? bern i thot you said you guys were thinking up of cheap places to go..
okayla will come back and blog later about the places. we need to decide in like few hours time already!

hi!
well ive not been to D' Fortune, from the pics look nice lah, but after Food Foundry ive learn not to trust pics nemore haha. but since sam said its nice, so should be okay? we have to decide whose house we're going to have the last surprise in?
i found two other place to eat. they're not cheap la but just saja lah put here kay. hehe

Food Foundry
As you can see from the picture, it looks more like a western mamak place than a restaurant. the place itself is located at some really rundown looking apartments. if all of us went, we could easily take up half the whole shop as it is only one corner lot. and they dont even have air conditioning!!
im so voting this place out.
okay ive thot of a lot of places, but no where that will allow pets. so i was thinking, probably what we could do is still follow half of the plan, that is let bernard bring steph to the dinner place (anywhere), then we jump out of our hiding places and do the flash thing, and she'll be all shocked and surprised. we sit down and have dinner, give steph her individual presents, and here the plan changes. after dinner, we all straight away say bye and go back home. then bernard, you will bring her back to the car, and when you're in the car, you blindfold her and tell her you have a surprise for her. because we all just had dinner together and already supposedly 'left for home', she will prob believe that we all really went back home and will think this surprise is something bernard personally did for her only. then bernard, you drive her to sam's house, or anyone else who's willing to offer their home, where we could maybe have two plastic tables and some chairs set up outside, with someone holding the puppy, and another holding the cupcakes that are already lighted up. then bernard will bring her into the house, where we'll all be waiting, and when she takes off the blindfold we shout 'surprise' and start singing her birthday song.
THEEEN after that we can use whoever's house internet connection to show her the blog on the laptop.

wahh. you guys damn semangat blogging. hahaha. bernard you ask me go on msn then ure not there pulak. ish2.
kaes number one, to bernard, about you setting up the laptop thingy. when you pack all your things into the boot without her noticing is okay, BUT i highly highly doubt youll be able to set up your laptop in the restaurant "somewhere out of her view" without her noticing. number one, although there are many of us and we'll all be distracting her and she'll prob be in shock with the whole surprise, you ARE her beloved right, and i bet you after ten seconds she'll be turning around looking to where you've gone to. either that or she'll just be looking for you to "whack" you for not telling her about the whole surprise thing, or to interrogate you about how you planned the whole surprise. whatever it is, she will SURE be looking for you, and if she finds you huddled in some corner somewhere doing dunno what, she'll get suspicious already.
number two, even if she DOESN'T come find you, and she is successfully distracted by us, and you manage to set up your laptop undisturbed, after that when we're all about to sit down to makan, she will 1 million percent want you to sit next to her right?? then you're just going to leave your laptop somewhere in the restaurant unattended? where any other customer can walk in and steal it? i admit passing your laptop to the waiter and asking him to hide it somewhere might be as dangerous, but at least youre passing the responsibility to that waiter, and if anything happens, the waiter will be responsible. if you just leave your laptop somewhere unattended, and anything happens, you can't blame anyone but yourself.
and number three, lets say you manage to hide your laptop in a super secure area and nobody will have access to it, then after the cakes and presents and all you still have to, somehow, take your laptop out casually and pretend to go on msn without her suspecting anything. wont you think she will find it very weird, like why in the middle of the dinner you wanna take out your laptop and go on msn? she might think you want to chat with someone, or that her birthday dinner is too 'boring' for you that you must go online, or that you're not paying her enough attention on her birthday. and trust me, the last thing you wanna do is make her upset on her birthday. i mean, all these things i said might not happen la, but theres a possibility also that it could happen, and if it does then the secret terbocor, or she get upset, how? since we're all gonna be there first right, we might as well arrange with the waiters to do all these, like bringing out the cupcakes/puppy/laptop etc, so that during the whole dinner we wont be distracted by these other things and will be paying full attention to her, and she'll be happier to know that we're giving her so much attention, AND she wouldnt suspect anything at the same time.
if youre scared the waiters might goof up, then we can each take turns going to the "toilet" and while we're behind, remind the waiter when to come out with what. or like after dinner, one of us can go behind and tell the waiter to take out the cupcakes now. then after the cupcakes and the birthday song, another one of us can go and tell the waiter to take out the puppy. then after that another one of us go and ask for the laptop to be brought out. and i seriously think bernard shouldnt be doing any of this, because she will want you to be by her side the whole night cuz its her birthday, and if youre like so busy walking about she will definitely get upset. you should just focus on her the entire night, and just make sure you stick with her all the time. im sure she'll be very happy if you do that :)
wah terwrite so long. so, thats what i think la. haha. i think we should give her the photo album first, like after we've ordered and while we're all waiting for the food to come. she can use the time to look through the pictures and go 'oooh' 'ahhh' all. we can also give her individual presents then, for those who bought her la, and ask her to open to pass the time. THEN she will think as though we all already gave her birthday presents, and wont be expecting anything else. then after dinner, we'll surprise her with the cupcakes, and after that, the puppy. we can do like how fv said, i like her idea abt putting the puppy behind her (or even under her chair haha) and asking the puppy to bark to surprise her. but someone will have to do this la. the only thing i scared about the puppy, like what i was telling bernard, is that we didn't buy it a cage or house right? so exactly how are we going to keep it in the restaurant without it barking or running around? must remember also that its not our place, and if the puppy gets out of control the restaurant manager might get angry. if you keep it in a box also and hide it at the counter it might bark and make a lot of noise and the other customers might get angry. and the box also must have holes so the puppy doesnt suffocate and die inside, but if got holes then the barking will be very loud. so how? unless we somehow can make it go to sleep throughout the whole dinner so that it wont make noise la .. but this is quite difficult right. any suggestions?
so yeah ill be going to the place tomoro afternoon about 4, and will come back asap to blog about it kay. then by midnight it will be decided where we go :) oooh i thot of something else. actually bernard you dun have to blindfold her all the way there. its quite a long journey for you you noe. summore if she wear makeup and all itll be ruined. you could just pretend you're taking her out to dinner, then when you all reach the place, we jump out from behind the walls/pillars/doors and do the flashing thing la. i think she'll be more surprise then, cos if you blindfold her then she'll already be expecting a surprise. if you just bring her in casually like that she wont even think there'll be ppl hiding behind the walls and stuff.
aiyoo i havent even write a post dedicated to stephy. haha. soon soon.

okay first about the makan place. sorry sam din reply ur msg, i ran out of credit. the food foundry website looks great la, hehe, but dunno if the place will be the same? but im really attracted to it tho, summore its very near my workplace, and since almost everyone has budgets, then how bout we just go there? cuz all the places i suggested are quite pricey :P and alexis is more for drinking actually, although i heard the food is good. neway faster cast your votes ppl so we can confirm venue! by Friday midnight we will stop the votes dy, and the venue with the most votes will be the place we go okay?

hi its me again.
Here are the cupcake recipes that my friend gets from:

the only problem we have now is that my friend's icing equipment was recently broken.. so we don't have any equipment to do the icing now. wanted to ask if you guys have? if not we can easily go buy.. one set would maybe cost about rm20 i think? so what time should we come over to help you bake sam? and ill be needing your house address :D
about the makan places, my vote is bistro cascata, for the reasons i gave in the comment in bernards post. and you know fv when you described your dream, it made me think of bistro cascata cos of the gardens :P hehe maybe its a sign! kogetsu is just as nice except there is no internet connection, so unless you want her to read the blog at home before we leave for dinnerla.. but i think itll be nicer to have her read the blog during dinner hehe.
ive added a voting post at the side of the blog, so it'll be easier too see which place has the most votes. so faster vote then we can summarize where to go kay.

I think Bistro Cascata would be a really lovely place actually, and she's been there once before with me and thought the place was really nice too. But if possible i think we should leave earlier to take nicer pictures as it'll be already dark after 7 or 8. i know the places are kinda priceyla, but i didn't really know what kind of budget you all have, and i thought she would definitely love these places if you guys are willing to spend. so what do you all think?

first of all, i would like to say, "YOU'RE THE BIGGEST IDIOT DAI YI GA LOU PO!!!". and i will whack you on the head the next time i see you. we had sleepover for TWO days, and in all the 14 hours we were together you couldnt even tell us ANYTHING about this. not even a WORD. all you talked about was FACEBOOK. no, i think i will hit you twice on the head instead .. and vaporize you in CS.
second of all, i would like to say to, er, fv mummy (who created this blog right?), "wonderful idea!" :) really the best. and sorry im so late to blog because you guys sent the email to my hotmail, which i only check like once in two months. good thing i decided to check all my mails today (and no thanks to bernard who couldnt even breathe a hint to us ALL the while) but in the future please send to picibut@gmail.com for anything okay, or even better leave me a message on my facebook. i really regret checking so late, because i like blogging and can change the template and add more customized pictures for the page. ill try to help the best i can in these few days, because i also have a lot of projects to do.
third of all, the puppy is a lovely idea :) i love it. i wouldnt mind sharing for it but you guys got it for free right? so are we all sharing to buy for another present or just giving the puppy only? maybe we should go buy dog food/house/clothes?and then about the cupcakes, how are you guys baking it? i have a recipe from my friend and she has all the icing equipment so we can make cupcakes exactly like cuppacakes. here are some pictures for you all to view:

second of all, i would like to say to, er, fv mummy (who created this blog right?), "wonderful idea!" :) really the best. and sorry im so late to blog because you guys sent the email to my hotmail, which i only check like once in two months. good thing i decided to check all my mails today (and no thanks to bernard who couldnt even breathe a hint to us ALL the while) but in the future please send to picibut@gmail.com for anything okay, or even better leave me a message on my facebook. i really regret checking so late, because i like blogging and can change the template and add more customized pictures for the page. ill try to help the best i can in these few days, because i also have a lot of projects to do.
third of all, the puppy is a lovely idea :) i love it. i wouldnt mind sharing for it but you guys got it for free right? so are we all sharing to buy for another present or just giving the puppy only? maybe we should go buy dog food/house/clothes?and then about the cupcakes, how are you guys baking it? i have a recipe from my friend and she has all the icing equipment so we can make cupcakes exactly like cuppacakes. here are some pictures for you all to view:
so if you all want, you have to tell me early so i can ask my fren for the recipe and icing equipment. but if you all have a better recipe then good :) there is actually a place called BISOU in heritage row, kl that sells delicious cupcakes too (http://www.asianheritagerow.com/bisou.asp). or we could actually custom make a cupcakes cake at Just Heavenly (http://justheavenly.blogspot.com) but it would be more priceyla, about rm300 per custom cake, and maybe we should just save that for her 21st :)

okay so here's what i'm going to do okay. i will try putting a customized picture of steph at the top of this blog. should we put a pic of stephy only or steph with bernard? then i was thinking, why not all of us put a pic of ourself & steph only at the side of this blogpage, so she can see all of us and to make the page look nicer with more pictures. so if you have a pic of yourself with steph you can upload it there under "memories" (see my example), or if you dont know how, send the picture to me and i'll help you do it.
um then sam, the photo album is for you guys only or for anyone else? should i send our pics to you also? i have a lot of nice ones from our kuching trip.
